Intermittent fasting: The good things it did to my body
In the summer of 2003 I was told I was over weight and had a cholesterol problem. I had a choice of cholesterol meds (which I think are Bull***t!) and to take off some weight. So I spent that summer cycling 10-15 miles-a-day, at least 4 days a week. Since then I’ve stayed away from Fake Fats such as Trans-Fat-Laden Hydrogenated Vegetable oils, and oils with a high Omega-6 to 3 ratio like Corn, Sunflower & Safflower, and used healthier Saturated Fats like Coconut Oil and Dairy. But the other thing I’ve done consistently is fasting daily. I never eat a large meal until my belly rumbles! Fact is it’s just a teaser initially. After it disappears, then comes back with a vengeance, only THEN do I sit down and eat very well!
